Bridging English Program
Non DegreePROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Bridging English Program is designed for international students whose English level is not high. It helps students enhance their English proficiency, shorten the period for adaptation, and smoothly become qualified for the admission of JLU. Those with excellent records can attend the on-campus interviews for bachelor or master programs that are taught in English.
Aiming at helping international students with their English proficiency and academic capability and cultivating their comprehensive quality, this program is designed by a team of excellent teachers from School of Foreign Language Education, JLU, covering courses ranging from preliminary English to academic English.
College of International Education is responsible for the admission and enrollment of the program and School of Foreign Language Education is responsible for teaching the courses. International students who get enough required credits will be conferred Certificate of Completion by School of Foreign Language Education, JLU.
Curriculum Introduction
(1) Teaching Arrangement: 120 Periods/semester
At the beginning of the semester, the professional teachers in School of Foreign Language Education will carry out proficiency tests and requirements analysis on students. According to the students’ English level, professional analysis and guidance will be conducted, and appropriate adjustments on the course content will be made according to students’ needs. According to the actual situation, take online or offline courses.
(2) Two levels are available: Basic Course and Advanced Course. Multiple classes are opened every semester.

(4) Graduation Requirements: ◆ Meet the training objectives and requirements for knowledge, ability and quality. ◆ Complete the required courses, pass all examinations and obtain required credits. (5) After Completing the Program: Judging by the students’ academic performance within the program, we recommend qualified students for undergraduate programs in Medicine, Law, Vehicle Engineering, etc.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, aged 18-60, in good health, with the equivalent educational background of a Chinese high school diploma.
