Global Political Economy of China and Europe (Fudan-LSE Double Degree)
MasterThis joint double degree program is offered by Fudan University and London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The program will provide students with a multi-disciplinary analysis of key political and economic processes and problems in Europe and in China, considering them within a global context.
The duration of this program is 24 months full-time. The first year of the program will be spent in the European Institute at LSE, where students will study the global political economy of Europe. Students will do their second-year study at the Institute for Global Public Policy at Fudan University in Shanghai, on issues of political economy in the Chinese context and beyond. This double degree master program is delivered by world-leading experts in the fields of political economy and public policy.
Students fulfill the graduation and degree requirements of LSE and Fudan will be awarded the Master of Management in Public Policy from Fudan University, and the MSc in the Global Political Economy of China and Europe from LSE.

Thesis Requirements
Students are required to write a graduation thesis on a topic relevant to global political economy from the perspective of public policy and governance during second year study in Fudan. Thesis should have the minimum number of 20,000 words.
Degree requirements in Fudan
Student can apply and receive a Certificate of Degree if he/she:
(1) Accomplish all required number of courses in each category, totally at least 38 credits;
(2) GPA of basic courses and core courses is greater than 2.0;
(3) Finish thesis and pass the thesis defense.
(4) Finish all above requirements in up to five years.
General Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and must comply with the relevant regulations stipulated in "Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the PRC."
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants who will be under 18 years of age (as of September) must provide a notarized Letter of Guarantee from their designated guardian in China.

- Language Proficiency Certificates:
- English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5/6.0 or TOEFL iBT 85 (requirements vary by university).
- Chinese Taught: HSK 4–6 (levels and minimum scores vary by major and university).
- Academic Diplomas: High School Diploma (for Bachelor's Degree applicants) or Bachelor's/Master's Diploma (for Master's/Doctoral Degree applicants). - Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Required from two high school teachers (for Bachelor's Degree) or two university professors/associate professors (for Master's/Doctoral Degrees). Letters must be issued on official letterhead, bear an official stamp from the institution, and include the recommender's email and phone number.

Note
- Documents 4 through 6 MUST be translated into English or Mandarin and officially legalized by the issuing institution. Alternatively, the services of a sworn translator may be utilized.
