BachelorPROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Students can personalise their learning based on the multi-disciplinary curriculum that integrates information science technology (IST), mechanical engineering (ME), civil engineering (CE) and design science (DS). Through rich cultural experiences and interdisciplinary learning, the program focuses on enhancing students' abilities to solve complex engineering problems. Students will develop exceptional skills in design, communication, teamwork, scientific experimentation, as well as lifelong learning, enabling them to play critical roles in global science and engineering fields.
1.1 Design education augmented by computing.
Architectural and urban design in the new era will have to engage with the opportunities opened by computer science and AI technologies. Understanding and applying the latest technologies and tools through the lens of design thinking is a core ability for students to grasp complex urban problems and generate innovative solutions.
1.2 Multi-disciplinary learning based on personalized projects.
Leveraging Tsinghua University’s comprehensive set of disciplines, the specially crafted curriculum provides students with ample room to customize and pursue multi-disciplinary projects under the collaborative supervision of tutors from different schools and departments.
1.3 Embedded learning in urban regeneration practice.
China’s urbanization provides a fertile soil for innovative ideas of urban regeneration. To study in China is to live and relive China’s urban development experiences, be involved in real-world urban regeneration practice as part of the study, and reflect on how contemporary challenges are dealt with.
1.4 An Asian perspective on urban challenges beyond Asia.
The teaching faculty is drawn from an international cast of experts with rich experiences in Asian cities. This Asia-focused perspective helps students become future-ready urban professionals to deal with urban challenges in and beyond Asian cities.

3. Language Certificates
- For English-Taught program: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5/6.0 or TOEFL IBT 85 (subject to each university)
- For Chinese-Taught program: HSK 4-6 (level and minimum score are subject to each major and university)
4. High school diploma (for bachelor degree applicants) and Bachelor or Master diploma (for master and doctoral degree applicants), students who hasn’t graduated should provide an official statement from high school or university as a guarantee of the graduation date (Pre-Graduation Statement). 5. High school transcripts (for bachelor degree applicants) and university transcripts (for master and doctoral degree applicants), page sorted from first semester to last or latest semester in one PDF file. 6. 2 (two) recommendation letters from your teachers in high school (for bachelor degree applicants) and two university professors (for master and doctoral degree applicants) along with letterhead, stamp from the school, and sign. Please also include the email and phone number of the recommenders.

8. Additional requirements that apply vary from university to university, for example:
- Entrance Examination / Interview.

Note:
- Documents number 4-6 above, MUST be translated into English / Mandarin by the school or a sworn translator, and need to be legalized.
