Training objectives
In order to meet the urgent need and strategic development of cultivating national professional and technical talents in robotics engineering, South China University of Technology has set up a robotics engineering major in Wu Xianming School of Intelligent Engineering on Guangzhou International Campus. By gathering domestic and foreign innovation resources, covering industrial robots, medical robots, service robots and unmanned systems and other research fields, integrating mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, control engineering, artificial intelligence technology and other disciplines, carrying out basic theoretical research in the fields of robot perception, decision-making, control, design and manufacturing, and tackling the bottleneck problems of robots in industrial, medical and service applications, aiming to cultivate globally competitive robot leaders.

• Graduation Requirements:
No1.Engineering knowledge: Ability to apply mathematics, natural sciences, engineering fundamentals and professional knowledge to solve complex engineering problems.
No2.Problem Analysis: Be able to apply the basic principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences to identify, express, and analyze complex engineering problems through literature research to obtain effective conclusions.
No3.Design/development solutions: the ability to design solutions to complex engineering problems, to design systems, units (components) or processes that meet specific needs, and to reflect a sense of innovation in the design process, considering social, health, safety, legal, cultural and environmental factors.
No4. Research: Able to conduct research on complex engineering problems based on scientific principles and using scientific methods, including designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and reaching reasonable and effective conclusions through information synthesis.
No5. Use modern tools: be able to develop, select and use appropriate technologies, resources, modern engineering tools and information technology tools for complex engineering problems, including prediction and simulation of complex engineering problems, and be able to understand their limitations.
No6.Engineering and Society: Be able to conduct reasonable analysis based on engineering-related background knowledge, evaluate the social, health, safety, legal and cultural impacts of professional engineering practices and solutions to complex engineering problems, and understand the responsibilities that should be assumed.
No7.Environment and sustainable development: be able to understand and evaluate the impact of professional engineering practices on the sustainable development of the environment and society for complex engineering problems.
No8. Professional norms: have humanities and social sciences literacy, a sense of social responsibility, be able to understand and abide by engineering professional ethics and norms in engineering practice, and fulfill responsibilities.
No9. Individuals and teams: Ability to take on the roles of individuals, team members and leaders in teams in a multidisciplinary context.
No10. Communication: Able to effectively communicate and exchange with industry peers and the public on complex engineering issues, including writing reports and design manuscripts, making statements, and clearly expressing or responding to instructions. And have a certain international perspective, able to communicate and exchange in a cross-cultural context.
No11.Project Management: Understand and master the principles of engineering management and economic decision-making methods, and be able to apply them in a multidisciplinary environment.
No12. Lifelong learning: have the awareness of independent learning and lifelong learning, and have the ability to continuously learn and adapt to development.

General Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification (for Bachelor's Degree applicants) or Bachelor's Diploma (for Master's Degree applicants).
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and must comply with the relevant regulations stipulated in "Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the PRC."
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants who are still under 18 as of September (per admission year) must provide a notarized Letter of Guarantee from their designated guardian in China.

4. Language Proficiency Certificates:
- English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5-6.5 or TOEFL iBT 80-90 (requirements vary by university).
- Chinese Taught: HSK 4–6 (levels and minimum scores vary by major and university).
