School of Mechanical Engineering predecessor dating back to 1916, Southeast University, Nanjing Higher Normal School, went through from National Foundation Mechanical Engineering, Southeast University, National Central University to Institute of Mechanical Branch, and was renamed Nanjing Institute of mechanical Engineering. It was renamed the Department of Mechanical Engineering in Southeast University in 1988. The school of mechanical Engineering was established in 2006. In the school’s one century history, Mao Yisheng, Zhou Ren, Zhou Huijiu, Wu Xue Lin, Yanjici money Zhong Han, Bai real meaning, Chen Xuejun, Tsang Tak- Chao, Yang Liming, Yan Minggao, Zhao Ren armor, the Kingdom of Jin, Tong Binggang, Ding Heng higher scholars, academicians have worked or studied in the School of Mechanical Engineering. Over ten thousand students have graduated from the School of Mechanical Engineering. The school not only conveying the field of industrial machinery, electronics etc, and supports internal and external energy power, aerospace, automation, scientific instrumentation, automotive, materials and other disciplines and expertise to create and development of higher education and to make a significant contribution to the national economy.
Qualification
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, have graduated from high school, and be over the age of 18, under the age of 25.
Application Materials
1. Passport (The valid period must be more than one year, if you're currently in China, please provide the first page and the VISA/resident permit page of your passport);
2. Senior high school diploma;
3. Graduating high school students can provide pre-graduation Certificate;
4. Transcript for all the courses in senior high school. (The certificate of SAT/IB/GCE A-LEVEL/ACT;
5. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must provide the certificate of HSK 4 or above;
6. Applicants for English-taught programs must provide the certificate of TOEFL 80/IELTS 6.0 (with the exception for the applicants from the countries or regions where English is the official language or mother language);
7. Provide certificate of no criminal conviction 6 months earlier before you come to China;
8. Provide physical examination record of foreigners 6 months earlier before you come to China;
9. Some programs may need other materials. (E.g. Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture programs ask
for the applicant's portfolio).
Note:
1. Please ensure the authenticity of your application materials. If any untruthful content is found in the application materials, you will be disqualified and can not apply to Southeast University again within 2 years;
2. Please fill in your Chinese name if you have, it can’t be changed after admission;
3. The application documents must be in Chinese or English. Any documents in any other languages must be attached with a notarized English or Chinese translation;
1. Application fee (non-refundable): RMB 400
2. Tuition:
- Liberal Arts: RMB 16.000 / year
- Engineering: RMB 19.000 / year
- Medicine: RMB 20.000 / year
- English-taught MBBS program: RMB 32.000 / year
3. Estimated other fees: RMB 6.000 - RMB 8.000 / year for one occupancy in a room for two occupancies.
4. Insurance fee: RMB 800
