Senior Advanced Studies (English-Taught)
Non DegreeThe English-taught graduate credit program is based on master's and doctorate courses that are taught in English. The program is open to international students at the graduate levels. It provides professional courses covering seven fields including Education, Economics, Psychology, Environmental Science, Philosophy, Law and Sociology. Applicants can take courses in BNU faculties, schools or departments as senior advanced studies students. The study period is one semester or one academic year.

Application Requirements
1. Non-Chinese citizen holding a valid foreign passport and between 18-45 years old.
2. Current master's student (or equivalent) or above.
3. Achieved the required English level of the applicant major.
Application Documents
1. “Beijing Normal University International Students Application Form”.
2. A scanned copy of the passport photo page. Applicants who have a Chinese visa must provide a copy of the recent visa page.
3. Certificate of latest academic qualification or certificate of studentship. Applicants should submit the original copy of the certificate of studentship or the photocopy of the certificate of latest academic qualification.
4. Transcript of study of the latest academic qualification, a photocopy may be submitted.
5. Two letters of recommendation by your teachers. Exchange students or students dispatched by friendly institutions according to the agreement only need to provide one letter of recommendation by their teacher. The letter of recommendation has no fixed format, but it must be signed by the teacher.
6. Non-native English speakers are required to provide proof of English proficiency according to the requirements of relevant majors or proof of English-only degree programs issued by the attending school; exchange students or students dispatched by friendly institutions should provide proof of English proficiency according to the requirement determined in advanced by both parties.
7. Application fee of RMB 450 (pay online). Exchange students can waive the application fee according to the relevant agreement.
8. Applicants holding study visa of institutions in China must provide the original transfer agreement issued by the institution and the original certificate of completion.
* All application documents must be in Chinese or English, please provide the notarized version of documents translated to Chinese or English.
* Application documents and application fee are non-refundable, they will not be returned regardless of whether the applicant is admitted by the University.
