The academic master's program of Civil Engineering taught in English is to train globalization-oriented and international professionals, committed to exploring the innovative training mode for the international graduate students, attract the outstanding students from the world, and develop high-quality and professionally comprehensive talents in civil engineering.
Enrollment Advantage
Civil Engineering is one of the first majors established in ZUST more than 30 years ago. After years of construction, the profession platform is steadily improving, and the strength of scientific research is increasingly growing. In 2008, Civil Engineering was recommended by Zhejiang Provincial Education Department and approved as one of the third batch of national characteristic specialty construction points. In 2010, Civil Engineering Lab Center was classified as experimental teaching demonstration center in Zhejiang Province. In May 2012, Civil Engineering passed the National Civil Engineering undergraduate education assessment held by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China (MOHURD), and became the first major that has passed the professional assessment in Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, ZUST. In June 2012, Civil Engineering was funded as the key discipline by the Zhejiang Provincial Twelfth Five-Year Plan. In January 2013, the construction of academic master’s program of Civil Engineering passed the qualification check.
Civil Engineering discipline carries out international exchange and cooperation positively, broadens the international educational channels to enhance cooperation with oversea universities. So far, the partner universities are German Jade University of Applied Sciences, Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences Nuernberg, Coburg University of Applied Sciences, San Francisco State University, and France Cergy-Pontoise University and so on. The main programs include Civil Engineering International Program (San Francisco State University)，Double Degree Program (Luebeck University of Applied Science), Sino-France Joint Program (Cergy-Pontoise University).

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma and above.
2. Non-Chinese citizens who hold a foreign passport and comply with the relevant regulations set by the “Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC ".
3. Physically and mentally healthy.
4. Applicants under 18 years old (Per September) should provide a letter of guarantee for their guardian in China (notarization required).

- English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5/6.0 or TOEFL IBT 85 (different for each university)
- Chinese Taught: HSK 4-6 (levels and minimum scores are different for each major and university)
4. High school diploma (for bachelor degree) and Bachelor or Master diploma (for master and doctoral degree), hasn’t graduated students should provide an official statement from your high school or university as proof of graduation (Pre-Graduation Statement). 6. 2 (two) recommendation letters from your teachers in high school (for bachelor degree) and two university professors (for master and doctoral degrees) along with letterhead and stamp from the school. - Documents number 4-6 above, MUST be translated into English / Mandarin, and legalized by the school or you could use the services of a sworn translator.

1. Application fee (non-refundable): RMB 400
2. Tuition:
- RMB 21,000 Yuan/academic year for Chinese-taught Master majors
- RMB 25,000 Yuan/academic year for English-taught Master majors
3. Books and Learning Materials: It will depend on the real price of books delivered (about RMB 300-600 per semester).
4. Insurance Fee: RMB 400 for half an academic year or RMB 800 for a full academic year; all students are required to purchase insurance.
5. Accommodation: Each room contains a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, bookshelf, air conditioner, heater, and shower. A public washing machine room and public kitchen is available for student use in the dormitory.
- On-campus Single Room: RMB 1200/month (1-student shared), including water bill and internet bill. Electricity bills should be paid by the student themselves.
- On-campus Double Room: RMB 600/month/person (2-student shared), including water bill and internet bill. Electricity bills should be paid by students themselves.
- Off-campus Single Room: RMB 800/month (1-student shared), including water bill. Electricity bills and Internet bill should be paid by the student themselves.
- Off-campus Double Room: RMB 400/month/person (2-student shared), including water bill. Electricity bills and Internet bill should be paid by students themselves. Accommodation fee includes water bill and internet bill, but excludes electricity bill. Once the students decided to live in the dormitory, he or she should live at least one semester. Students should pay accommodation fees for at least 5 months when they register.
- Room Deposit: RMB 1,000. It will be returned if all equipment is in good condition when students check out.
- Bed set: RMB 350~550/person
- Electricity Fee Prepaid: RMB 1,000. When electricity fee prepaid is not enough, the Electricity bills should be paid at the first week of the month
