This major is aimed at the strategic development of Artificial Intelligence in order to cultivate talents in this field with global vision, innovation spirit and practical ability. Students shall be trained to have good scientific literacy and systematically master the basic theories, methods and techniques of Artificial Intelligence.

Collaboration
- Cooperation with famous IT companies on student training, such as IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Tencent, Baidu, CLP Group, and CSIC.
- New training modal of Tencent Emerging Engineering Classes;
- Cooperation with Georgia Institute of Technology and Research Center for Intelligent Signal Processing and Data Analysis is established at Georgia Tech Tianjin University Shenzhen Institute.
Career Choices
After graduation, students can choose to do work including research, design, development and management in the field of Artificial Intelligence, including Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Knowledge Computing, Deep Reasoning, Group Intelligence Computing, Hybrid Intelligence, Unmanned Systems, VR, Natural Language, etc. Besides, students can also choose to do work in the fields of Intelligent Manufacturing, Smart City, Intelligent Finance, Intelligent Education, etc. Students can also choose to pursue master or Ph. D degree in this field.
General Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and must comply with the relevant regulations stipulated in "Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the PRC."
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants who will be under 18 years of age (as of September) must provide a notarized Letter of Guarantee from their designated guardian in China.

- Language Proficiency Certificates:
- English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5/6.0 or TOEFL iBT 85 (requirements vary by university).
- Chinese Taught: HSK 4–6 (levels and minimum scores vary by major and university).
- Academic Diplomas: High School Diploma (for Bachelor's Degree applicants) or Bachelor's/Master's Diploma (for Master's/Doctoral Degree applicants). - Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Required from two high school teachers (for Bachelor's Degree) or two university professors/associate professors (for Master's/Doctoral Degrees). Letters must be issued on official letterhead, bear an official stamp from the institution, and include the recommender's email and phone number.

- Additional Requirements: Specific requirements vary by university. Examples include:

Note
- Documents 4 through 6 MUST be translated into English or Mandarin and officially legalized by the issuing institution. Alternatively, the services of a sworn translator may be utilized.
- Please neatly scan each document into PDF format. The file size for each document must not exceed 37 MB (the passport photograph must adhere to the specific requirements listed above). All documents must then be uploaded to the system at www.greatwall.co.id.
