This program is taught in English and offers top instruction from world-class international research scholars. The newly renovated multidisciplinary teaching laboratories are outfitted at the highest international standard. The program is based on learning by doing, peer to peer mentoring and discovery-enriched experiences. Our school makes this major available to talented students endowed with all-round intellectual, mental, physical and even artistic abilities, that are able to respond to the challenges of socialist modernization. Candidates are expected to have a good mastery of the basic theory and skills of pharmaceutical sciences. In addition to the width of their knowledge and qualifications, they have an acute sense of social responsibility, an international outlook, an innovative spirit, and a practical mind.
We encourage the students, upon their graduation, to either further their studies abroad, or pursue Master's and Doctor's Degrees at our university or other institutions. We may also recommend them for positions in drug research, in the development and manufacture of pharmaceuticals and biotechnological products, or in pharmaceutical administration and inspection.

Education of SPST
SPST aims to educate, train, and provide life-long learning opportunities for students, pharmacy professionals, scientists, academicians, engineers, or administrators as leaders in pharmaceutical sciences, social and administrative sciences, while engaging in research and practice to improve the health and well-being of people.
B.S. Training Program
SPST will provide students interested in pharmaceutical sciences that relate to medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, pharmaceutical analysis, biochemistry, pharmaceutical administration, etc. with classroom and experiential education that spans the pharmaceutical sciences and liberal arts. Training received in the integrated pharmacy program will give students experience with cutting edge technology so that they will be competitive in drug discovery, development, and commercialization.
Core Concepts
In order to fulfill the above research and training mission, the courses taught at SPST will teach students the following core concepts:
• Critical thinking
• Problem solving
• Pharmaceutical science as a multidisciplinary field integrating fundamental principles from many basic disciplines (chemistry, biology, math, physics, computer science, economics). All disciplines should be taught primarily from an explicit pharmacy perspective.
• Best practices in laboratory safety and record keeping
• Data analysis and interpretation
• Scientific ethics
• Social responsibility
• Communication skills, both oral and written (in scientific English)
• The innovative and responsible conduct of pharmaceutical research
General Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and must comply with the relevant regulations stipulated in "Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the PRC."
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants who will be under 18 years of age (as of September) must provide a notarized Letter of Guarantee from their designated guardian in China.

- Language Proficiency Certificates:
- English Taught: IELTS with an overall score of 5.5/6.0 or TOEFL iBT 85 (requirements vary by university).
- Chinese Taught: HSK 4–6 (levels and minimum scores vary by major and university).
- Academic Diplomas: High School Diploma (for Bachelor's Degree applicants) or Bachelor's/Master's Diploma (for Master's/Doctoral Degree applicants). - Academic Transcripts: High School Transcripts (for Bachelor's Degree) or University Transcripts (for Master's/Doctoral Degrees), compiled into a single file. - Two (2) Letters of Recommendation: Required from two high school teachers (for Bachelor's Degree) or two university professors/associate professors (for Master's/Doctoral Degrees). Letters must be issued on official letterhead, bear an official stamp from the institution, and include the recommender's email and phone number.

Note
- Documents 4 through 6 MUST be translated into English or Mandarin and officially legalized by the issuing institution. Alternatively, the services of a sworn translator may be utilized.
