MasterPROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
The Communication and Information Systems (CIS) program is administrated by the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Ningbo University. Approved by State Council Academic Degrees Committee, the CIS program has granted a master degree since 2001. It is one major research direction in the top-key first-class disciplines and the first-class (Class A) disciplines in Zhejiang Province. The CIS program is strongly supported by the Information and Communication Engineering discipline which offers first class Master programs, and first-class PhD programs, and postdoctoral workstations. The college holds the Engineering Research Center of National Education Ministry, the base of International Science and Technology Cooperation, the cultivation base of state key laboratories, the 2011 collaborative innovation center of Zhejiang province, the key laboratory of Zhejiang province, the Engineering technology center of Zhejiang province, and the key laboratory of Ningbo etc. The research area of the CIS program mainly includes but not limited to mobile and broadband wireless communications, key technology in next-generation mobile communication, software technology in mobile terminals, radio frequency technology, fiber radio technology, multimedia communications, information security, optical communications technology, optical fiber sensing technology, infrared electromagnetic information systems and new functional materials and devices and so on. The faculties in this direction have been granted a number of national research projects, such as 973 & 863 projects and the National Key Scientific Instrument and Equipment Development Project. They also received many national and provincial science and technology awards, e.g., the second prize of National Technological Innovation, the second prize of State Scientific and Technological Progress.
Application Requirements
(1) Foreign citizens with a valid ordinary passport and Bachelor's degree for master's program applicants, in good physical and mental health.
(2) Foreign citizens with a valid ordinary passport and Master's degree for doctoral program applicants, in good physical and mental health.
(3) Language Proficiency:
Chinese Medium Programs
Chinese language proficiency of HSK 4 (score 210 or above) or HSK 5. If you have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree taught in Chinese in China, you may apply for exemption for HSK requirements.
English Medium Programs
Good English language proficiency. For those whose native language is not English, please provide score report of English language test (e.g. TOEFL/IELTS/others).
